It’s unfortunate, but us third worlders are still living in the dinosaur era (they now wear suits and call themselves managers) and sadly not everyone realizes that these days IM is pretty much like celphones: you feel disconnected from the rest of the world without it.

From my point of view, if an employee wastes too much time chatting then the issue is with him, if not also his supervisor. Employees should be graded based on _results_.
